Which NFL Teams Are The Best?
Ask a dozen people which National Football League or NFL teams are the best, and you will probably get a dozen different answers. Some football fans choose which NFL teams to watch based on their statistics. Others like certain NFL teams for sentimental reasons. Some football fans choose favorite football teams based on location. Regardless of the answers given by the hypothetical twelve people above, there are many likely favorites from which to choose.
The National Football League (NFL) is the professional sports league of American football. The NFL currently consists of 32 NFL teams residing in different cities. These 32 teams are divided into the National Football Conference (NFC), and the American Football Conference (AFC). Those two main conferences are further subdivided into NFL teams from the North, South, East, and West of the conference regions. Due to differences in rules and field size, there are no NFL teams in Canada.
The NFL teams of the AFC North include the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and New York Jets comprise the AFC East. The AFC South includes these NFL teams: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tennessee Titans. The Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders, and San Diego Chargers are the NFL teams of the AFC West.
The NFC North has the following NFL teams: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings. The NFC East includes the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins. In the NFC South one can find NFL teams such as the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks are members of the NFC West.
There are plenty of NFL teams from which to choose favorites. People who must relocate to different parts of the country often continue cheering for their old NFL teams. Some choose favorite teams based on one or two star players. The popularity of college football influences some fans to cheer for their favorite college player if he enters the NFL. More practical football fans simply choose the nearest NFL teams as their favorites.
The NFL football season consists of regular season games, playoff games, and the Superbowl. This schedule is designed to determine the best NFL teams based on statistics. For sentimental reasons, however, you will never convince football fans that their favorite NFL teams are not the best.
